Three Ways To Get Involved

Your local Liberal Democrats campaign all year round on issues that really matter to local people. From the most local street issues to working to protect our local countryside, to fighting for better education opportunities - the Liberal Democrats are working for the whole area. However you can help, our campaigning relies on volunteers and donations - we are not backed by big business and trade unions, and our leaflets and campaigning are paid for and distributed through local donations and support.

Register to Help Us

Our campaign depends on volunteers to help us get our message out to voters. Please get in touch today and let us know if you can spare a little time each month to deliver leaflets, work from home doing clerical work, speak to local residents about their views, or stand for council at a future election.

Make a Donation

Unlike the Conservatives who receive many large donations from big businesses and multi-millionaires, the Liberal Democrats mainly rely on our members and supporters for funding. With thousands of supporters across the country each making a small donation, we raise our funds to pay for leaflets, newspapers and campaigning.

Every pound of your donation will help us make our campaigning here in Maidstone and the Weald even more effective. The Liberal Democrats fight with local residents on issues that matter to local people.

Just £30 would pay for 1,000 leaflets to deliver to local homes. £95 would pay for enough leaflets for an entire ward. £240 would pay for all our web site and on line campaigning costs for a year. £800 would pay for a posted letter to 1,000 voters. Whatever amount you can afford, your donation will make a difference.

Whatever you can afford, your donation would be used to make a real difference to the campaign. Please support our campaign with a donation today quickly and simply online or by sending a cheque payable to "Maidstone Liberal Democrats" to Maidstone Lib Dems, Freepost, Maidstone, ME16 8BR. Thank you!

Make Sure You Can Vote

At each election, many people intend to vote but then end up busy on pollling day and don't get the chance to make their voice heard. Make sure your voice is heard by applying for a postal vote. Every elector is entitled to vote by post and your ballot paper will be sent to you around 2 weeks before polling day, with clear instructions and a reply paid envelope. You can vote at home and return your vote before polling day - otherwise it's so easy to forget!
