Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Clive English

When the new Liberal Democrat Administration took over in May a priority was to improve the Councils poor performance in dealing with breaches of Environmental Health regulations. After considerable reorganisation of procedures and practices the Council has massively reduced the backlog of unresolved cases and now has the lowest backlog since October 2004.

Cabinet member for Regeneration Clive English commented, "Our aim is for a service, which the public can access easily and understand without difficulty at every stage and where complaints are dealt with efficiently and with appropriate speed and do not hang around without resolution."
