Tory stealth tax to hit the elderly

County Council Tories have voted to massively increase charges for care in the home for elderly people by 30%.

Trudy Dean, Leader of the County Council Lib Dem Group, who spoke in opposition to the increase said," This move is purely to raise and extra £632,000 income. Conservative Councillors have chosen instead to spend nearly £1million on a new Kent TV broadband station. They are prepared to sell out the most vulnerable in our society to throw yet more money into pet projects. It's just disgusting!"

Lib Dems at County will continue to fight these proposals.

This is just another example of the Conservative Council wasting our money to fund their own pet projects.
