Smells from the Incinerator

Allington incinerator

The incinerator's performance is being finally checked before being handed over to the owners and operators.

Most aspects appear to be going well but there have been problems with odours escaping from the tipping hall. Many complaints have been received and measures are being taken to resolve the problem. The Conservative County Council, who insisted on building the incinerator in Allington, has always assured residents that it would not be a bad neighbour. Your Councillors will keep up the pressure to make sure that things are put right while the contractor is still on site. There must be no question of West Maidstone being left with an ongoing problem.
