In November last year, East Ward Liberal Democrats advised you of a planning application for the development of 142 dwellings on the Maidstone Studios site. This was subsequently withdrawn, but a new application for the same number with only minor amendments has now been submitted as details below. We object to the application not only because 4 storey buildings are totally out of Keeping with the area but because of the precedence it will set for future development on adjacent properties and the risk of development on the school playing fields.

This is a requirement of government codes of practice and will be strictly adhered to and applies to all political parties.
