Priorities for South Ward:

  • Fighting urban cramming and excessive development in our Ward.
  • Supporting the demand for more police on patrol and further improvements in the use of the CCTV system to fight crime, anti-social behaviour and fly-tipping.
  • Challenging the long term neglect of our roads and footways by the Conservative controlled County Council.
  • Continuing the battle to ensure that a second Waste transfer site is provided on the other side of Maidstone to reduce traffic in South Ward.
  • Supporting the Valley Conservation Society and Tovil Parish Council.
