Recycling Sites update

April 6, 2007 2:10 PM

Dundee Liberal Democrats put the environment and recycling to the top of the agendaYour Liberal Democrat Councillors recently toured Coxheath and Hunton Ward with senior officers from Maidstone Borough Council. We are pleased to tell you that the Council and its waste contractors have agreed that a number of sites in the Ward can be used for siting bottle banks and recycling bins.

The Farleigh Club has already agreed to host some bottle banks for East Farleigh. Banks will also be sited in the car park at Linton, by the church, if the Parish Council agrees. The Good Intent at West Farleigh has also been asked, and it is hoped that Hunton Village Hall will agree to the car park being used.

The only suitable site in Coxheath is at the Village Hall. Unfortunately the Village Hall Committee are unable to allow the Council to place any banks there at the moment.

If residents have any suggestions please let Colin Parr know. These will be passed on to the Council.
